Repair cost depends entirely on what is leaking and where. A skimmer seal and an underground pipe repair are very different jobs. Here is what drives the price.
Call (954) 290-5177, Free Estimate →Pool leak repair costs in South Florida range from a few hundred dollars for a skimmer seal or minor fitting repair to several thousand dollars for an underground pipe repair that requires excavating through travertine or concrete. The repair cost always comes after the detection visit, once we have confirmed the source we quote the repair before any work begins. Repair pricing is not something we can give accurately without knowing what we are actually fixing.
A minor skimmer separation sealed with appropriate waterproofing material. Straightforward when caught early.
Replacement of a leaking eyeball port, vacuum port, or return fitting. Usually straightforward access from inside the pool.
Sealing the conduit path through which water exits the light niche. Scope varies by conduit condition.
Material and labor for injecting a confirmed leaking structural crack. Ranges with crack length, location, and depth.
Full skimmer body removal and replacement when sealing is not sufficient. Includes partial drain and deck work around the skimmer.
Excavation, pipe repair, and backfill. Cost scales significantly with pipe depth, deck surface material, and extent of the pipe failure.
Underground pipe repairs are the highest-cost pool leak repair category because the pipe failure is buried under concrete, travertine, soil, or a combination of all three. The excavation itself, cutting through surface material, digging to the pipe, opening the repair, backfilling, and surface restoration, is often more expensive than the actual pipe repair.
This is why targeted locating before any cutting is so important. A pipe repair on a pool with plain concrete deck and a pipe 18 inches down costs substantially less than the same repair on a travertine deck with a pipe 36 inches down. The leak detection and locating visit gives you an accurate repair estimate because we know the exact location, depth, and deck type before we quote.
A skimmer separation found in its first season is a sealing job. Found after two or three seasons of widening, it is a skimmer replacement. An underground pipe failure found before significant soil erosion is a single targeted excavation. Found after a year of running and washing out the deck substrate, the repair bill adds void filling and deck restoration on top of the pipe repair.

Leak Analyzer → Evaporation Calculator →The question I cannot answer before the visit is "how much will the repair cost?" The question I can answer is "what does the detection visit cost?", and I give that number before I schedule. After the detection visit, the repair cost is precise because I know exactly what I am fixing and where.
Anyone who gives you a firm repair price before seeing the pool and confirming the source is guessing. Sometimes that guess is right. When it is wrong, the homeowner pays for a repair that does not solve the problem and then pays again for the right repair. Detection first protects the homeowner from that.
Call us, describe the pool, and we give you the detection price before scheduling. Repair quote follows once the source is confirmed. Licensed CPC1457277.
(954) 290-5177 (561) 325-2678 (561) 325-2678No. The detection fee covers the diagnostic visit. The repair quote is provided after the source is confirmed and is a separate line item. You know both prices before any repair work begins.
Pool leak repairs are frequently excluded from standard homeowner policies, though coverage varies by policy and insurer. We are not insurance advisors and cannot tell you what your policy covers, your insurance agent is the right person for that question. We do provide written documentation of what was found and what was repaired, which can support an insurance inquiry.
We do not start repair work without your approval of the quoted price. If additional scope is discovered once we open an excavation, such as a longer pipe failure than the locating suggested, we stop, discuss the revised scope and cost with you, and proceed only with your approval.
