Licensing and Insurance
- Are you licensed and insured?
- What is your license number and what type of license is it?
Process and Equipment
- Do you dive the pool?
- Do you check the skimmer, lights, fittings, drains, equipment, and plumbing when needed?
- Do you pressure test pool lines?
- What do you do if the pool is too low, cloudy, or chemically unsafe to inspect properly?
Complex Pools
- How do you handle pools with attached spas, water features, multiple pumps, or underground plumbing concerns?
Repairs and Reporting
- Are repairs included in the detection price or are they separate?
- Do you provide repair estimates when possible and within your scope?
- What happens if the repair is outside your scope?
- Do you provide a written report with photos?
For Real Estate, HOA, and Commercial Work
- Can you provide documentation that agents, property managers, boards, or repair contractors can use?
- Can you provide proof of licensing and insurance before the appointment?
A good company should be able to answer these questions clearly. If the answers are vague, rushed, or only about price, be careful.
