LSL is very selective about who represents the company.
Outside hires go through background checks before being hired. But that is only the starting point. Pool leak detection requires judgment, patience, safety awareness, and the ability to follow a system. It is not just showing up with dye and guessing.
What a Technician Needs to Understand
- Pool systems and water loss patterns
- Skimmers, lights, fittings, and drains
- Plumbing and equipment operation
- Pressure testing
- Documentation and report writing
- Customer communication
They also need to know when not to overstate something. Some leaks can be confirmed clearly. Some leaks are limited by pool finish, access, visibility, plumbing layout, or repair conditions.
Where the Training Mindset Comes From
Jeff also teaches pool leak detection through Leak Business Academy and wrote a practical field manual on pool leak detection. That training mindset carries into LSL. We want the person in the field to think systematically, document what they see, explain things clearly, and respect the customer's property.
We are picky because customers are trusting us around their home, their pool, and their family. Skill matters, but so does character.
