What If You Cannot Find the Leak the Same Day?

Not every leak shows itself right away. Here is how we handle it when one visit is not enough.

Most leaks can be narrowed down with a systematic inspection, but not every leak shows itself right away.

Pool leaks are invisible until the testing points us in the right direction. Some leaks are simple. Others are tricky. Sometimes the right answer takes more than one step.

We may need to check the pool with the pump running, check it with the pump off, shut certain systems down, watch how fast the water drops, or see where the water level stops. We systematically change what is being evaluated so we can narrow down where to look. Once the target area is figured out, the rest is usually much easier.

When a Leak Cannot Be Fully Pinpointed

There are also situations where the pool is leaking, but the exact leak path cannot be pinpointed without more invasive work. This can happen with pebble finish pools, mosaic tile pools, older pools, previously repaired pools, and shell leaks. In those cases, the honest answer may be that the pool shell or finish is leaking and may require waterproofing.

What You Get Either Way

If we cannot fully resolve the question the same day, we explain what we found, what we ruled out, and what the next reasonable step should be.
