That means we stand behind our evaluation, but it does not mean every leak can always be pinpointed to one tiny visible hole. Some leaks are clear. Others are difficult for any leak detection professional, no matter how much experience or equipment they have.
Where the Warranty Has Limits
This is especially true with pebble finish pools, mosaic tile pools, older pools, previously repaired pools, and suspected shell leaks. These pools can hide leak paths behind the finish, through grout, around fittings, through the shell, or in areas that are not visible during a normal underwater inspection.
In some cases, the correct finding may be that the pool shell or finish is leaking and may require waterproofing.
When possible, we use small epoxy patches to temporarily stop or slow water loss. These patches can also help confirm that a leak point was found. Simple epoxy patches are included when appropriate.
How the Recheck Process Works
If a repair is needed, that repair must be completed before a no-charge recheck is performed under the limited 30-day leak detection warranty. One known active leak can hide another leak. Once the known leak is addressed, the pool can be evaluated more fairly if water loss continues.
Repairs performed by LSL include a 1-year warranty on our repair and repair connections. That warranty applies to the repair work we perform. It does not mean the entire pool is guaranteed not to leak from another area later.
