Should the Leak Detection Company Explain What They Found?

Yes. A report is important, but it should not replace a clear explanation before they leave.

Yes. A leak detection company should explain what they found in plain language.

A written report is important, but it should not replace communication. If the customer is there, they should get an explanation before the technician leaves. They should know what was found, how it was confirmed, what could not be confirmed, and what the next reasonable step is.

Some leaks are simple. Some are not. A skimmer leak, light leak, plumbing leak, shell leak, or suspected waterproofing issue may all require different next steps. The customer should not be left guessing.

Report Plus Explanation

At Leak and Subsurface Locators, we provide a report with photos, but we also try to explain the findings clearly. For real estate, HOA, condo, and commercial work, that written report becomes even more important because several people may need to review it.

The goal is not to sound technical. The goal is to help the customer understand what is going on with the pool.
