Leak detection and leak repair are usually separate.
The leak detection fee covers the testing, tools, time, and field process used to find and confirm where the water is going. Repair cost depends on what is actually found.
Leak and Subsurface Locators does offer repairs and provides repair estimates when possible and within our scope. If the repair is outside our scope, we will recommend trusted professionals who can do the work properly.
Simple temporary epoxy patches are included in the detection price when appropriate. These are small patches, generally less than about 3.5 ounces of material. We use them to stop or slow the leak when possible, and also to help confirm that the leak point was found.
What Is Not Included
There are limits. Broken plumbing cannot be patched from inside the pool. Structural leaks, shell leaks, large leaks, and leaks that require draining, cutting, excavation, resurfacing, or waterproofing need a different repair path.
The goal is to find the leak first, document it clearly, and then give the customer the right repair direction instead of guessing.
