How Do You Charge for a Pool and Spa Together?

Quick Answer

If your spa is attached to the pool and shares the same plumbing and equipment system, it is included in the pool leak detection evaluation at no extra charge. If the spa is a separate system with its own equipment, it is priced as a separate job. Call us to confirm which applies to your setup.

Attached Spa - One Evaluation

An attached spa that is connected to the same pump, filter, and plumbing system as the pool is evaluated as part of the same job. The technician tests all connected fittings, jets, shell areas, and plumbing during the same visit. There is no separate line item for the spa.

A separate standalone spa with its own dedicated equipment operates as its own system. It has separate plumbing, separate failure points, and requires its own evaluation. In that case, we provide a separate estimate - and can schedule both evaluations on the same visit if that works for your schedule.

If you are not sure which type of setup you have, that is a common question. Describe your pool and spa when you call and we will help you figure it out. The distinction is usually straightforward once we know whether the spa has its own equipment pad.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if my attached spa loses water faster than the pool?

That is a useful diagnostic clue and exactly the kind of information to mention when you call. An attached spa losing water at a different rate than the pool helps narrow where the evaluation should focus. It is still one evaluation - the spa circuit gets specific attention as part of the job.

Can you evaluate both an attached and separate spa in the same visit?

Yes. If you have both and want both evaluated in the same visit, we can discuss what that looks like and provide estimates for each. Call Sandra to talk through the specifics.
