Yes. We work with pool service companies often, especially on HOA, condo, commercial, and property management jobs.
A good pool service company is not our competition in that situation. They are usually an important part of the process because they know the pool's history. They may know how often water is being added, whether the autofill is running, whether the chemistry is hard to control, whether the spa drains down, or whether a certain valve or feature has been acting strange.
Leak detection is a different specialty from weekly pool service. A pool service company may be great at cleaning and maintaining pools, but they may not have the tools, diving process, pressure testing setup, trace gas option, or reporting process needed to locate and document a leak.
How the Two Roles Fit Together
Our job is not to step on toes. Our job is to come in as the leak specialist, evaluate the pool, document what we find, and help the manager, board, owner, or pool service company understand the next step.
Community and commercial pools are one of our specialties, so we are used to working alongside other vendors. The best jobs happen when everyone communicates and stays in their lane.
