Can You Test My Pool Pipes for a Leak?

Yes. Pressure testing is a core part of what LSL does. Here is how it works.

Yes. Pressure testing is one of the primary methods Leak and Subsurface Locators uses to evaluate pool plumbing lines for leaks.

Each line is isolated using plugs and pressurized. If the line holds pressure, it is likely intact. If pressure drops, the line has a leak. Both air and water are Florida code-compliant for pressure testing -- what matters is whether the company pressurizes the lines at all, not which medium they use.

LSL uses a custom-built pressure manifold that allows multiple lines to be tested and isolated individually. This helps pinpoint which specific line is losing pressure rather than just confirming that a problem exists somewhere in the system.

After Pressure Testing

If a line fails the pressure test, acoustic listening equipment or trace gas may be used to narrow the exact location of the confirmed break before any excavation begins. LSL is one of the few companies in the region with a full trace gas system, and other leak companies call LSL to use it when their own equipment cannot locate an underground break.
