Commercial spas see significantly more usage than residential spas. That heavy use accelerates wear on jets, fittings, heater connections, and shell surfaces. A commercial spa that is losing water may have a single source or multiple contributing points that each individually seem minor but add up to significant daily water loss.

Some commercial spa leaks only show when the spa is running on its dedicated circuit. Others show when the system is off or when the spa drains down between uses. We evaluate the spa under different operating conditions when possible to observe its behavior.

The evaluation of a commercial spa includes underwater inspection of the shell, jets, fittings, lights, drain, and seat surfaces. Equipment connections, heater fittings, valve positions, and the plumbing between the spa and the main pool system are also reviewed. Pipe testing of the spa lines is performed where the plumbing layout allows plugs to be installed.
