LEAK AND SUBSURFACE LOCATORS - CPC1457277 - PALM BEACH AND BROWARD
(954) 290-5177 Broward (561) 325-2678 Palm Beach
Quick Answer

Yes. Leak and Subsurface Locators provides photos in the written report after every visit. Video is included when it is useful. Photos document underwater leak points, skimmers, lights, fittings, drains, cracks, equipment conditions, previous patches, and other relevant findings. The goal is to make every finding understandable - the customer should not have to rely only on memory after we leave.

How We Document Findings

Photos are the main form of documentation in the report. We photograph what matters - the leak location, the area around it, the test setup where relevant, and any other conditions that affect the finding or the repair.

Some leaks photograph clearly. A crack with active dye movement, a wet fitting, or a visible gap photographs well and tells the story on its own.

Some leaks do not photograph as dramatically. A leak confirmed by pressure testing may show a gauge reading and the line being tested rather than water visibly pouring out. A leak found through acoustic listening or trace gas is confirmed by the method - the photo shows the marked location on the deck. These are still valid, documented findings even when the photo does not show water in motion.

Video is added when it helps explain something that a still photo cannot capture as clearly.

The rare exception is an equipment issue outside our control - such as a camera damaged by water intrusion affecting the storage card. In those cases we document what we can and describe the finding in the written report.

The purpose of every photo is to make the finding clear to whoever reads the report next - whether that is the homeowner, a realtor, a property manager, or a repair contractor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can photos show an underwater leak?

Yes - when conditions allow. Clear water and good visibility produce clear underwater photos. The proprietary dye we use can show active water movement at fittings, cracks, lights, and drain areas. Cloudy water limits both the evaluation and the photography, which is why clear water before the visit improves results.

Can I share the report photos with my repair contractor?

Yes - and we encourage it. The photos in the report help your repair contractor understand exactly what was found and where. That makes the repair estimate more accurate and reduces the chance of misunderstanding between what we documented and what the contractor is looking for.
