Quick Answer

Yes. Call Leak and Subsurface Locators and we will give you an estimate before any work is scheduled. Describe your pool - size, spa, water features, and your concern - and Sandra will provide a number. There is no charge for the estimate conversation.

How the Estimate Process Works

Getting an estimate is straightforward. Call during office hours - Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm EST - and Sandra will walk through your pool with you. Pool size, attached spa, water features, and the nature of your concern all factor into the estimate.

We do not charge for the estimate conversation. We also do not provide estimates by email submission form with a generic number attached. Because every pool is different, an accurate estimate requires a quick conversation. Most leak detection work can be quoted this way. Certain repairs, such as underground pipe repair and equipment installation, require a site visit first, for the reasons below.

Once you have the estimate, scheduling is easy. Most jobs are scheduled within a few days depending on our current workload. Jeff David or one of our licensed technicians handles all field evaluations.

If the estimate does not work for you, that is a straightforward conversation. We would rather be honest upfront than have a pricing disagreement after the work is done.

When a Site Visit Is Needed

Leak detection itself is quoted over the phone. Some repair work is not, and we would rather tell you that upfront than surprise you later.

Underground pipe repair usually requires us to look first. A photo does not tell the whole story, and the things that change the price are almost never visible in one. What is over the pipe matters: concrete, pavers, sand, or tile. So does whether the pipe sits below the water table, whether there are two or three patios poured on top of each other over the years, whether pipes are stacked on top of one another, and what is in the way, such as mature vegetation, irrigation, or buried electrical lines.

Equipment installation also requires a site visit. Pad space, existing plumbing configuration, electrical supply, and clearances all have to be seen to be quoted accurately.

Quoting either of those over the phone would mean guessing, and a guess becomes a change order once we are on site with the work already opened up. We would rather look, quote it properly, and have the number hold.

Do you charge to come look at the pool before doing the evaluation?
